Facilities and Technical Development

DMR (UM) is equipped with the facilities to perform biomedical techniques including pathological, parasitological, bacteriogical, virological, biochemical and pharmacological techniques. In addition, molecular biology lab and BSL III are being established in order to promote Biomedical Research by using modern Molecular Biology techniques. Animal laboratory service is also established though need to be promoted.

Financial support

DMR (UM) is supported mainly by the government. Research grants are funded by WHO biennium, (WHO Long-term Institutional Development) grant, UNICEF and MORU (Welcome Trust-Mahidol University-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Programme).
